Labcal To Enhance Single Sign-On Authentication Solution With Fusion from Carefx^®

Carefx expands its leadership position in Canada as the preferred provider of solutions that optimize workflow by simplifying access to patient information

QUEBEC CITY, CANADA— e-HEALTH 2007: PATHS TO TRANSFORMATION CONFERENCE— MAY 28,  2007— Carefx Corporation today announced an agreement with Labcal Technologies, Inc., to expand its single sign-on authentication offering by providing simplified, unified and secure access to patient information. Labcal Technologies is a Canadian company developing a biometric single sign-on solution for healthcare organizations and manufacturing rugged mobile devices for positive identification and ID verification through biometrics.

Labcal will resell Fusion from Carefx™ to Quebec-based hospitals and healthcare organizations. Fusion from Carefx is an end-to-end solution that addresses clinicians' need to access patient information quickly and intuitively. Using innovative context management and clinical workflow technology, Fusion utilizes industry standards to aggregate patient information from multiple systems and display it simultaneously in a unified view, regardless of where the data is stored.
