Company History
Founded in 2002, Carefx was launched under the leadership of Oscar Diaz and other key players from within the healthcare and technology fields. The Carefx technology, Fusionfx, was the brainchild of the original development team responsible for Emtek (now Eclipsys’ SCC). The successful adoption of the Carefx technology enabled the company to grow steadily in employees, revenue, customers, and partnerships.
In 2005, Andy Hurd took over as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Later that year, he raised capital to ensure the company’s ongoing growth and profitability. Hurd subsequently enhanced Carefx’s leadership team by naming Oscar Diaz EVP and Chief Software Architect, and adding Ping Zhang, PhD. as Chief Technology Officer, as well as making investments in the Sales and Marketing organization.
By building open, flexible, and scalable technologies that support healthcare organizations’ growing and changing needs, Carefx has grown its customer base to nearly 400 healthcare organizations across the US, Canada, and Europe. The company maintains strategic partnerships with leading global infrastructure and health information technology providers, and continues to capture both market share and mindshare.
